Alexandra Nikiforidou has been working in the museum sector for over twenty years. In the early years of her career, she worked as an employee of a number of cultural organizations, including the Hellenic Society of Ethnographical Museology, the Foundation of the Hellenic World and the Museum of the City of Athens. Since 2002, she has been working mainly as an independent   museum and cultural management consultant, developing exhibitions and being involved in numerous professional or research projects for a broad range of cultural and academic institutions. She also has extensive teaching experience as a tutor in cultural management and museology mainly for the National and Kapodistrian University and the Hellenic American Union in Athens. She is a member of the editorial committee of the Tetradia Mouseiologias  [Museology Notebooks] referred journal and she publishes in the area of her expertise.
