Collections Manager @ Greek National Gallery
Mrs. Efie Agathonikou, Collections Manager at the National Gallery, is French Literature graduate of University of Athens. She holds a degree of (Maîtrise) History of Art, University of Paris I-Panthéon-Sorbonne, Master (DEA) in History of Art, University of Paris X-Nanterre under the title ” Greek painters who exhibited in Paris reports from 1855 to 1914″ and a Masters of (DEA) University Paris IV- Panthéon-Sorbonne Hellenic Studies entitled “the Volos newspapers until 1922”. Since 1987 she is a curator at the National Gallery. Until 2000 she was in charge of the collection of the National Gallery Plans and since 2002 she is in charge of Western European paintings. She has also taken control and monitoring of the Information Technology program of the National Gallery, and has designed the game “Amateur Curator”, which is integrated into the Gallery website. She has custody of the website of the Cypriot painter Victor Ioannides.
