He has 7 years of experience as a Java Software Engineer working for various companies and organizations, including Interamerican, Velti, Europeana and, currently, the National Documentation Centre (ΕΚΤ). At EKT he has been the main developer of a metadata aggregator/portal in the field of Cultural Heritage (http://searchculture.gr/), a domain-agnostic metadata and digital content Harvesting System and an Information System for Semantic Vocabularies and Contextual Enrichment (http://semantics.gr). He has also contributed in the development of the front-end of a content validation system. He has a PhD degree in the field of database query optimization and a Master degree in Information Systems from the Athens University of Economics and Business.
